CHAPTER 11

I turned back and saw Meera trembling in fear. I approach her and then I notice her body shiver with each passing second, her head hung low. I just stood there and call her.

" Ms. Meera " my voice came soft and it strange I never use my voice so soft for anyone but again she's exceptional but she still hung her head

I came towards her and said in a calm and low voice which only she could hear. " Meera "

" Ji " Then she spoke in a calm and low voice but her head was still down and she was not looking at me.

So I said " look at me " and then finally she raised her head and looked at me and I was feeling both anger and guilt on myself. I felt like taking all these useless employees to my in basement and torturing them.

Her face was pale and her eyes were swollen and red, there were tears on her face. And my heart was aching after seeing her like this I said,

" are you okay " and she just nodded her head and wiped her tears then said,

“Sir, I have completely prepared the project file. You just have to recheck whether everything is okay or not. Then please tell me what changes you want to make, I will do it.”

And she passed the file to me and when I extended my hand to take the file, my fingers touched her fingers, she shiver just a touch of mine but I noticed that her hand was very warm and I looked at her and she was looking at me. I simply took the file and started checking it and when I completed it I was surprised that there is not a single mistake in it, everything is absolutely perfect, there is no need for any changes. There is no doubt that she is a very brilliant student.

" This is absolutely perfect, it does not need any changes, you have done your work very well Ms. Meera. Good job " I said with a nod and she just nodded her head

" Sir it's time, all the investors and clients have arrived in the conference room " my secretary said and i nodded And then I looked at everyone and said in my cold tone

" I do not want any mistake of any kind. This project is very important for our company, for which we have been working hard for a long time. Today I will not tolerate any mistake. One mistake and you will fired from your job. One mistake will end your entire career. am i clear ? "

" YES SIR " all said in unison with determination and confidence. I nodded and head toward the conference hall but not before glance at Meera.

AUTHOR's
POV

At conference hall

Reyansh Rajvanshi (CEO of Rajvanshi Industries, a man whose lineage stretched back to the Rajput kings, possessing a sharp intellect and a gaze that could melt glaciers or shatter mountains) sat ramrod straight at the head of the mahogany conference table. His presence, a potent blend of ruthless ambition and captivating charisma, dominated the room.

Opposite him, Kabir Khurana (a spoiled industrialist known for his ruthless business tactics and predatory gaze, a man whose charm was as shallow as a puddle after a summer rain) leered. His eyes, however, weren't focused on the business proposals stacked before him. They were fixed on Meera, her face as pale as moonlight.,

Meera wasn't merely unwell; she was caught in as debilitating physical pain and a strange, echoing vulnerability to the negative energy of those around her.

Kabir's predatory gaze amplified the curse, the waves of pain intensifying with each lingering stare.

Reyansh, sensing the shift in the room, more than just the discomfort of his rival's presence, felt a primal rage flare. He wasn't merely angry at Kabir's blatant disrespect; he felt a protective instinct, an almost supernatural awareness of the danger Meera was in.

The air crackled with an unseen energy, a tension far exceeding the usual cutthroat atmosphere of these business negotiations. The room itself seemed to shift, the polished surfaces shimmering with an ethereal light. Whispers, inaudible to the human ear, snaked through the hall, hinting at a power struggle beyond the confines of the deal at stake.

Reyansh, his senses heightened by an inexplicable connection to Meera, saw the room not just as a conference hall, but as a battlefield – a clash between mundane ambition and ancient, mystical forces. The deal, crucial for Rajvanshi Industries’ future, suddenly seemed insignificant compared to the invisible battle raging around Meera. Her pain, a tangible presence in the room, manifested as icy tendrils that snaked towards Kabir, causing him to instinctively recoil, a flicker of fear briefly interrupting his usual arrogance.

The weight of the curse threatened to overwhelm the room, and Reyansh knew he had to act, not just to protect Meera, but to break the cycle of malevolence that threatened to consume them all.

With a sudden, almost violent movement, Reyansh slammed his fist on the table, silencing the room. The ethereal shimmer intensified, coalescing into a single, blinding beam of light that emanated from Meera. The light washed over the room, dissipating the oppressive aura and banishing the whispers.

The curse, fueled by his predatory gaze, had backfired, striking him with a jolt of the very energy he sought to exploit. When the light subsided, Meera was still pale, but the pain had eased, the weight lifted. The mystical affliction, for now, was quelled.

Reyansh, eyes locked with Meera's, knew this wasn't the end, but a prelude. The battle for Meera, and for his company's future, had only just begun, and the stakes were far higher than anyone had initially realized.
